Elizabeth Hickey, our mother, taught for about twenty years from the early 1960s. We record her time in a special new school for disruptive girls in Breconshire. In 1963 she took up a post in teaching maths and English at Londonderry High School for Girls. In 1968 she moved to Dunshaughlin Community school, near Skryne and retired from here in 1979.
We write about her agenda throughout these years which included: writing, The Meath Archaeological and Historical Society of which she was Publications Secretary. travelling, looking after her dogs and keeping up the house and garden.
